Expanding into Emerging Cannabis Markets

Laws regarding cannabis are ever-evolving domestically and in Canada, and while the future of US Federalization is still uncertain, one thing that is certain is US states continue to pass legislation legalizing cannabis either recreationally, medicinally or both. The opportunities are endless for cannabis companies looking to expand their operations. Emerging cannabis markets are also trending up in Canada, and Canadian cannabis cultivators or processers are also seeing increasing growth opportunities.  Seems like the future is bright for cannabis businesses, with increased profits and positive momentum on the horizon. But achieving success as an MSO (multi-state-operator) is not a guarantee, even with additional markets rapidly emerging.

All this cannabis industry growth is predicted to give MSOs more opportunities for expansion. But with increased opportunities comes increased challenges. Simply attempting to navigate regulations in another province or state can be a herculean task. Establishing success as a cannabis company in a single location is not an easy thing to do but being able to take that success and replicate it in another state such as New York, which recently passed legalization, is even harder and fraught with complexities.

So how do you successfully expand your cannabis business? For answers to this, we’re excited to present a special episode of Cannabis Radio along with the National Cannabis Industry Association’s Bethany Moore and Jennifer Spanos, VP of Product and Strategy at CannaBusiness ERP. Together, they dive into the intricacies of expansion and the nuances of sorting out regulations and compliance in differing markets.  You’ll be sure to gain knowledge that can aid you in setting up your cannabis business for success.
